Tuesday, September 14, Taglit-Birthright Registration Begins - Share the Gift of Israel with Eligible 18-26 Year Olds. If a member of your community is eligible for the Taglit-Birthright Israel program, we will make sure that their application is handled with priority status so long as they sign-up with URJ Kesher. As a reminder, eligibility criteria are: Jewish, 18-26, and first time in Israel on a peer program. Winter/Spring trips will be offered in December, January, February and March and we expect that registration will be closing very, very early this season -- most probably within 24-48 hours of opening on September 14th. Accordingly, it is critical that applicants plan ahead to register on time. How to Refer a Member of Your Community: To refer a member of your community, simply email and let us know the name of the person for whom we should be on the lookout. Please make sure that the applicant knows to select URJ's Kesher trip by starting the application process at www.kesherbirthright.org . Applicants can also sign-up now for an "Early Update List" in order to learn more about the registration process in advance of September 14th. Saturday, October 2 in the Sanctuary -- Penny Auction -- Donations of new or gently used items to be auctioned off. Start collecting your items for the auction. Donate small appliances, unopened wine, vases, sporting items, pictures, and memorabilia. Donations from local merchants accepted.
